90+ Points from Connoisseurs Guide to California Wines on 2015 Chardonnays

91 Points - Connoisseurs Guide to California Wines
2015 Chasseur Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Very much in the Chasseur style, this rich, fruity, well-oaked wine is noticeably hazy in appearance with a light golden color and a hint of butterscotch to its pulpy, juicy aromas of ripe apples and light spice. Full and rounded yet balanced on the palate, it opens to a near voluptuous texture at the front and holds very little in reserve at any point, and its complex flavors last and last as the wine finishes. So accessible that it is drinking very nicely now, it has the depth to hold up for a few years in the bottle but makes no demands for long cellaring.

90 Points - Connoisseurs Guide to California Wines
2015 Chasseur Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Not to be left behind, this partner in luxury to the wine above stays true to its Chasseur heritage with a lightly hazy appearance and pulpy pear and apple aromas that favor a juicy, open style. With its early richness and its near supple mouthfeel, it too will invite earlier rather than later drinking and if seemingly a touch firmer in construction, it is nonetheless a wine that does not need much patience before being brought to the table. Indeed, it can be served without a wait if one wants.
